Directed by Jasson Minadakis. Presenting Rajiv Joseph's dark comedy about two average men swept up by the beauty, carnage and injustice surrounding one of the most famous wonders of the world.
We’ve been treated to the engaging works of playwright Rajiv Joseph here in the Bay Area, and now Marin Theatre Company offers his 2015 two-hander in which two low-level guards, in 17th- century India, watch the sun rise on the stunning new Taj Mahal. It’s a dark and funny existential exploration of “the heartbreaking human obsession with beauty” and other aspects of the ineffable human condition. Jason Minadakis directs.
