Venezky's installation consists of hundreds of unique photographs pinned to a vertical structure placed close to each one of Grove Street's four storefront windows. This photo-mural, which will stay in place until further notice, is fantastically complicated and eye-catching, and gives passersby the chance to discover new forms and pattern-rhythms over and over again.
And so it goes—The San Francisco Arts Commission will sunset the long-running Grove Street Window site by summer’s end. Be sure to carve out time to bid farewell to the original Arts Commission gallery and its charming historic site across the street from City Hall’s Beaux Arts-inspired grandeur. The final show presents an installation by San Francisco’s own design legend Martin Venezky.
