Annabeth Rosen: Fired, Broken, Gathered, Heaped

The Contemporary Jewish Museum

Featuring ceramics and works on paper from over twenty years of her practice, Annabeth Rosen: Fired, Broken, Gathered, Heaped is the first major survey of the artist's work, and the first to be shown in her home base of Northern California. The exhibition's title draws inspiration from Rosen's art-making process, while also embracing the simultaneous fragility and strength that can be found in her works.

This is what SF/Arts curator Christian L. Frock has to say about Annabeth Rosen: Fired, Broken, Gathered, Heaped :

Rosen’s exhibition is so enticing I left with a sense of disappointment – I really would have liked to have taken a few of her ceramic constructions home, particularly the table top pieces. Perhaps a few drawings. Maybe one or two sculptures. If, like me, you enjoy contemplating the end results of breaking and reassembling your efforts, this show will resonate well with you too.
