Frida Kahlo
SFMOMA
Her art, wrote surrealist poet André Breton of his contemporary, iconic Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, was like "a ribbon around a time bomb." This not-to-be-missed exhibit focuses on Kahlo's colorful, shockingly vibrant self-portraits, all informed by her life of chronic pain, the result of a horrific bus accident when she was a teenager.
