About
A small theater troupe in the town of Whynot has gathered to put up their director’s new version of A Christmas Carol. From the first rehearsal to opening night, we follow these sometimes-reluctant comrades on their quest to put on a great show with too little time and money but no shortage of opinions.

How can this world premiere not be a winner? Obie Awardee Craig Lucas wrote the script, based on Charles Dickens’s ghostly “A Christmas Carol,” and Pam MacKinnon directs. American Conservatory Theater calls this rendition “joyous and puckishly funny.” It’s conceived as a play-within-a-play, as a small theater troupe struggles through conflict and lack of funds to mount the beloved holiday classic. Includes puppets and magic.
