35th San Francisco Jazz Festival
The 35th San Francisco Jazz Festival features 43 shows over 13 days in 5 different venues around San Francisco's Hayes Valley neighborhood. The festival kicks off with a free admission celebration at the outdoor Proxy space in Hayes Valley on Tue June 6 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. The evening features live music from John Brothers Piano Company and North Beach Brass Band, plus a beer garden, videos, and food trucks. Proxy is located along Octavia Street between Hayes Street and Fell Street. This year's festival will feature everything from jazz greats like Jack DeJohnette, Herb Alpert, Stanley Clarke, and John Scofield to today's hottest names including Lizz Wright, Con Brio, Chris Potter, The Suffers, and Bokanté, as well as upcoming stars like Jacob Collier, Melissa Aldana, Cory Henry, Linda May Han Oh, Marquis Hill, and Bay Area artists Nicolas Bearde, Martin Luther, The Hot Club of San Francisco, and Jon Jang.
