Day of Remembrance
Before the Muslim ban, there was Executive Order 9066. This presidential order put 120,000 people of Japanese ancestry (most who were American citizens), in internment camps during WWII. EO9066 is commemorated every February with a Day of Remembrance. Join the California Historical Society for an evening of intimate conversations about civil liberties in the era of Trump, live music and a reception featuring bites from SF Japantown.
