Sara Lisch - "BITE ME"

Mercury 20 Gallery/Oakland

The artist explores the relationships between objectification, sexuality, and sustenance. Sexual objectification is defined as an act of treating a person as a mere object of sexual desire. Experientially, sexuality and objectification intermingle in ways that defy simple definition. Lisch's multi-media work touches on the complicated dynamic between the theory of objectification and the experience of sexuality.
