Pace Palo Alto

The exhibition features new screen works by artist collective teamLab, an interdisciplinary group based in Tokyo whose collaborative practice seeks to navigate the confluence of art, technology, design and the natural world. Following the highly successful 2016 presentation of teamLab's immersive, multi-room environment in Pace's former Menlo Park space, the upcoming exhibition in the Palo Alto gallery will feature digital single channel and interactive screen works.

This is what SF/Arts curator Christian L. Frock had to say about teamLab :

The visually delightful teamLab returns to Palo Alto with an expansive exhibition of media- based works featuring its iconic visual stylings. Influenced by a wide range of Japanese historical culture, from traditional Ukiyo-e painting from the Edo period to contemporary Manga illustrations, the works span an array of monitors, presenting layered technicolor “paintings” reflecting the digital age.
