Aaron Marcus: Early Works

UC Berkeley Art Museum Pacific Film Archive

Educated in physics, mathematics, and philosophy at Princeton University and trained in graphic design at Yale, Berkeley-based Aaron Marcus explores new possibilities for expression.

This is what SF/Arts curator Christian L. Frock has to say about Aaron Marcus: Early Works :

Berkeley-based Aaron Marcus has an extensive background in physics, mathematics and philosophy, as well as formal training in graphic design. His first computer-assisted poem drawings were produced in 1972 while he was a research associate at Yale; the resulting works are elegant with a modernity of form and color that, nearly 50 years later, is very much in step with contemporary aesthetics.
