Call Me By Your Name

San Francisco Symphony

The San Francisco Symphony (SFS) features the Orchestra performing live accompaniment to "Call Me By Your Name," a 2017 coming-of-age romantic drama featuring music by Daniel Pemberton, as it is projected on a large screen above the stage at Davies Symphony Hall.

This is what SF/Arts curator Sura Wood had to say about Call Me By Your Name :

In a departure from the blockbusters and family movies usually chosen for the San Francisco Symphony’s film programs, it has selected an award-winning art house film with a prestigious pedigree to be accompanied by a live orchestra. “Call Me by Your Name,” written by James Ivory and adapted from Andre Aciman’s semi-autobiographical, coming-of-age novel, is directed by Luca Guadagnino, who brings gorgeous visuals to a poignant story of first love, and heartbreak.
