Philharmonia Baroque’s fully-staged production of Jean-Marie Leclair’s 1746 opera Scylla et Glaucus stars French soprano Véronique Gens, in her San Francisco debut, as the sea witch Circé, French soprano Chantal Santon Jeffery as Scylla the sea nymph and American countertenor Aaron Sheehan as the merman Glaucus, in a co-production with Centre de musique baroque de Versailles.
