Jackie Ryan

JazzTimes magazine calls Jackie Ryan "one of the most outstanding vocalists of her generation." The Bay Area native Jackie Ryan has been on the rise since the late 1990s, when her acclaimed debut album, For Heaven's Sake, made a big splash on the national jazz scene, and the accolades have continued to roll in.

This is what SF/Arts curator Jesse Hamlin has to say about Jackie Ryan :

The rich-voiced Ryan, who sings all kinds of music with grace, sparkle and feeling, digs into classic American songs and other numbers with a superior quintet featuring pianist John R. Burr, bassist Doug Miller, trumpeter Erik Jekabson, saxophonist Patrick Wolf and drummer Akira Tana.
