San Francisco Fringe Festival

Exit Theatre

EXIT Theatre welcomes 21 local & national performing companies to our Tenderloin Theatreplex for the 28th annual San Francisco Fringe Festival, September 5-14, 2019. The San Francisco Fringe Festival is produced by EXIT Theatre and is the oldest grassroots theater festival in the Bay Area.

This is what SF/Arts curator Jean Schiffman has to say about San Francisco Fringe Festival :

Twenty-one companies, mostly local but some national, converge at the Exit theatreplex for the ever-popular Fringe Festival, now age 28. The mix (non-curated; performers chosen by lottery) includes solo shows, music, magic acts, comedy, experimental work, the lot. Check out longtime local theater artist Terry Baum with her play about the relationship between Eleanor Roosevelt and her lesbian lover, Lorena Hickock.
