Adia Millett: Infinite Edges

Traywick Contemporary/Berkeley
Traywick Contemporary proudly announces Infinite Edges, our first solo exhibition with Oakland artist Adia Millett, whose cross-disciplinary practice includes quilt-making, painting, drawing, photography, collage and sculpture. Weaving African American experiences with broader ideas of identity, personal memory and collective history, Millett is interested in the fragile interconnectivity among all living things.
This is what SF/Arts curator Christian L. Frock has to say about Adia Millett: Infinite Edges :
Oakland-based Adia Millett presents a solo exhibition of wide ranging works, including drawing, mixed media assemblage, and experimental textile constructions – one could simply say “quilts,” but one wouldn’t be saying enough. Millet’s expansive media arsenal engages just as much as her spare, graphic style in this body of work that explores the African American experience.
