United Nations Association Midpeninsula

Join UNAFF for one of the oldest and most grassroots documentary film festival in the Bay Area - United Nations Association Film Festival (UNAFF). UNAFF will be presenting 60 documentary films featuring issues about the U.S., China, Iraq, Mexico, and other countries. This is what SF/Arts curator Sura Wood has to say about 22nd United Nations Assoc. Film Festival :

Revolving around the theme, Scales of Justice, this year’s docs address hot button issues, from immigration, gun control, terrorism and voter suppression to gender equality and mental illness. “Bei Bei” centers on two women: a Chinese immigrant charged with first degree murder and the high powered white collar lawyer who defended her, while “Tribal Justice” focuses on Native American judges attempting to reduce youth crime and incarceration.
