Victorian Ladies' Detective Collective

Central Works

Victorian London: Sisters Loveday and Valeria run a boarding house for Single Ladies. When a series of gruesome murders terrorizes the neighborhood, they appeal to the police for protection. But Scotland Yard is no help at all.  And the bodies are piling up on their doorstep. So the women set out to bring the killer to justice on their own. Is Jack the Ripper at it again?

This is what SF/Arts curator Jean Schiffman has to say about Victorian Ladies' Detective Collective :

How can you not love this title? Central Works, which almost always presents world premieres, stages local playwright Patricia Milton’s thriller, a “comic collaboration” between the playwright and resident director Gary Graves. It’s set in Victorian London at a boarding house for “single ladies,” where a pair of sisters and an American expat join forces to hunt down a Jack the Ripper-style murderer. Cast includes Stacy Ross and Jan Zvaifler.
