Zadie Smith returns with her anticipated new novel “The Fraud,” a kaleidoscopic work of historical fiction set against the infamous Tichborne Trial in Victorian England. Since her widely acclaimed 2000 debut novel “White Teeth,” which she wrote during her final year at Cambridge, Smith has published four other novels: “The Autograph Man,” “On Beauty,” “NW” and “Swing Time” (2016). Smith is in conversation with Cathy Park Hong, author of “Minor Feelings: An Asian American Reckoning.”
