45th San Francisco Jewish Film Festival
About
The San Francisco Jewish Film Festival (SFJFF), presented by the Jewish Film Institute (JFI), is the largest and longest-running festival of its kind and a leader in the curation and presentation of new film and media exploring the complexity of Jewish life and identity around the world.
SF/Arts Curator Insight
SFJFF rolls out several works that suggest humor is the best medicine. “Coexistence, My Ass!” follows Israeli comedian Noam Shuster Eliassi’s making of her one-woman show, and Clay Tweel’s doc, “Andy Kaufman is Me,” centers on the man behind the strange, provocative, often hilarious public persona put forth in skits and the classic TV hit, “Taxi.” The film shares his private audio diaries and insights of family, David Letterman and his primo partner-in-comedy crime, Carol Kane.
