Anne Lamott - Why Write, What to Write, and How to Write
About
Writing is hard, & the process mysterious. Why do we write when it can be so painstaking, & the voices in our heads say we’re kidding ourselves, & no one will want to read what we have written, & publication is a long shot?
Why? Because we can’t not write. We don’t feel we are living up to something deep inside when we don’t get out stories, memories, & visions down on paper.
These are some of the things I’ll be talking about in this workshop...
Book Passage claimed the title of the “Bay Area’s Liveliest Bookstore” years ago as it was hosting more than 800 author events, classes, conferences, children’s events, writers’ organizations, book groups, and other activities each year. The pandemic forced us to slow down some of these activities a bit, but we’ve also now added a whole array of online events & classes.
