SF/Arts Curator Insight

Whether it’s catharsis you seek or just the outright strange, alien or bizarre, this fest delivers 18 days-worth. Among the unusual treats: live interpretations of two vintage “Twilight Zone” episodes, and the U.S. premiere of “The Curse,” cult icon Coffin Joe’s “lost” film. Originally shot for Brazilian TV in 1967, it concerns a young couple who visit the countryside and, despite dire warnings, snap a picture of a reclusive village witch. Alarming consequences ensue.
