Back to the Future with SF Symphony
About
Power up your DeLorean! Experience the thrill of the time-traveling 1985 blockbuster Back to the Future like never before, when the SF Symphony performs award-winning composer Alan Silverstri’s dazzling musical score live to the movie on the big screen, along with new music added by Silvestri especially for this unique live orchestra presentation.
SF/Arts Curator Insight
Given the last two years, zipping back to 1955 in a custom-made DeLorean may seem like a tempting proposition, especially with the live symphony orchestra playing composer Alan Silvestri’s musical score, along with special additions he wrote specifically for the event. The 1985 time-travel blockbuster, directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly, has much to recommend it but seeing it in this context is a real trip.
