Live original songs. Dave Cooper plays guitar and mandolin wherever and whenever he can, and is working on a third CD of original music. Arne Hurty has played for many years and written songs for a few less. He most recently played with d'basement brothers and ongoing collaborators Dave Cooper and Bob Rawlings. Ants Fujinaga plays tragicomic songs with scientific and literary references, Balkan, Renaissance and Celtic elements, and ornate vocals.
Tragicomic songs with Balkan, Renaissance, Celtic and other influences, often incorporating unusual rhythms (e.g. 5,7, 9, 11, 13), literary references and scientific terminology, tackling strange topics from social awkwardness, noisy neighbours and human reproduction to toad rescue, nocturnal chronotypes and the starch apocalypse.
