"Within These Walls" is an award-winning multimedia work integrating contemporary dance, poetry, music, and video projection. The work is inspired by the experiences of the more than 170,000 Chinese immigrants who were unjustly detained, interrogated, or processed at the Angel Island Immigration Station in the early 20th century. "Within These Walls" is being re-staged with UC Berkeley students for the annual dance concert Berkeley Dance Project.
