To dream has always been a metaphor for realizing our hopes and visions for a world of peace and belonging. In addition to works about actual dreams by Jean Sibelius and Ralph Vaughan Williams, we are thrilled to present the premiere of Now is the Time, a new work by composer Michael Bussewitz-Quarm that sets her own text about her transition and realizing her dream of becoming a woman.
Founded in 1977, Sacred & Profane is a chamber chorus that performs a wide variety of a cappella choral music. Concert repertoire includes sacred and secular works from the middle ages to the contemporary period, drawing from classical, ethnic and folk traditions. We aim to provide an inspiring and educational experience for audiences and chorus members through high-quality performances.
