SF/Arts Curator Insight
The Dublin-born, Ontario-based author of 16 novels including “The Room”, Emma Donoghue visits Book Passage to discuss her latest novel “The Paris Express.” Based on an 1895 train disaster infamously captured in a series of surreal photographs, and set on a train, the novel is propulsive, with a fascinating, far-ranging cast of characters that evoke the politics, chaos and speed of the end of the 19th century. In conversation with Carol Edgarian.

Book Passage claimed the title of the “Bay Area’s Liveliest Bookstore” years ago as it was hosting more than 800 author events, classes, conferences, children’s events, writers’ organizations, book groups, and other activities each year. The pandemic forced us to slow down some of these activities a bit, but we’ve also now added a whole array of online events & classes.
