Super fun event with audience participation in live coloring of giant pages from a new coloring book that illustrates the work of African American shipyard workers at Hunters Point during World War II.
This book, designed for all ages, blends original artwork with historical facts to tell an important part of San Francisco’s story.

Shipyard Trust for the Arts (STAR) is an artist-founded nonprofit that supports and advocates for more than 300 artists with work studios at the Hunters Point Shipyard. STAR honors the Shipyard's historical ties to the Bayview Hunters Point community by providing creative opportunities through free community arts programs and free studio space for local artists in residence.
