Kim Stanley Robinson has finely crafted nearly two dozen works of science fiction, many describing scientists and other characters who find solutions to the world’s most disastrous ecological problems.

SF/Arts Curator Insight

A local national treasure and one of the most acclaimed science fiction writers of our time, Kim Stanley Robinson joins KQED Live for an intimate discussion about his latest, “The High Sierra: A Love Story”, which is a personal, cultural and geologic exploration of what he calls “the best mountain range on Earth.” Author of Mars Trilogy and “The Ministry for the Future”, he’ll discuss writing, hiking and finding hope in an era of climate change.
