"Just a Shadow" is a performance journey that celebrates life, and honors memories of lost loved ones. The project brings together 7 powerful artists—AJ Gardner, Sonsherée Giles, Josh Icban, Megan Lowe, Frances Teves Sedayao, Roel Seeber, and Shira Yaziv—to make 6 distinct duets that highlight the unique strengths of each collaborator, including contemporary dance, site-specific dance, vertical dance, turf dance, contact improv, and live music.

What is a shadow really? Is it a reflection of the present moment, or a portal to another time? Perhaps a remembrance from the past or maybe a threshold to the future. This multi-layered entity intersects with grief, absence, healing and connectedness in Megan Lowe Dances’ upcoming evening-length work, Just a Shadow. The internal chapters not only showcase duets by a host of collaborative artists, but also mine different genres of physicality, movement and choreography.
