North Beach First Fridays
About
On the first Friday of every month, over a dozen North Beach galleries, museums, bars, and restaurants stay open late for a self-guided First Fridays Art Crawl with special events to showcase the ever-growing collections of art and entertainment that diversify North Beach.
SF/Arts Curator Insight
For an authentic San Francisco literary experience, North Beach on First Fridays is a sure bet. That’s maybe always been true, but the poetry crawl begins with a City Lights-hosted reading in Jack Kerouac Alley, followed by features Alexis Madrigal (“The Pacific Circuit”) and J. Brandon Loberg at Golden Sardine, a long-running series outside Macchiarini Creative Design and a gathering of the Coit Tower Poetry Club honoring the work of Lew Welch.
