LAR LANDA Gallery is pleased to present Peter Walker Sculpture as its inaugural exhibition.

Peter Walker (b. 1932) is best known as an award-winning landscape architect, whose projects include the National September 11 Memorial (New York), Nasher Sculpture Center (Dallas), Marina Bay Sands (Singapore), and Salesforce Transit Center Park (San Francisco), among others. He has also influenced generations of landscape and urban designers as a professor at Harvard and UC Berkeley, and through his publishing projects including Spacemaker Press.

Walker notes the choice of material for these sculptures is as important as the forms. The polished white surface allows the shapes and silhouettes to be seen in their most elemental form, and heightens the viewer’s perception of the light and colors within the gallery space.
