SF/Arts Curator Insight

With 84 short shows by 21 theater companies/performers—15 local, six non-local—San Francisco’s own Fringe Festival, the second oldest such festival in the country, is ready to roll. This year the non-curated extravaganza (participants selected by lottery) comprises local artists plus groups from Boston, Canada, New York and elsewhere. Adventurous theater-goers pay their (low-cost) tickets and take their chances on the unknown.
