SF/Arts Curator Insight
According to F. Scott Fitzgerald, Clara Bow was the quintessential flapper, “impudent, worldly-wise and as briefly clad as possible.” Bow, the “It” girl of the film’s title, plays a wily shopgirl doing her seductive best to win the heart of her handsome, wealthy boss. See if you can spot a 25-year-old Gary Cooper in a cameo as a newspaper reporter. With live musical accompaniment by the Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra.
