The Schwabacher Recital Series offers you the opportunity to hear gifted singers in an up-close and intimate setting. Since 1983, these recitals have featured renowned Merola alumni and have also been instrumental in launching the careers of internationally acclaimed artists.

Opera lovers, take note! In its 41st year, the Schwabacher Recital Series returns March 19 to San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s Osher Recital Hall, bringing an intimate concert experience with emerging and esteemed artists from around the world. Tenor Michael John Butler, baritone Olivier Zerouali, and pianists Julian Garvue and Ji Youn Lee—all Merola Opera Program alumni—will present an eclectic program, from Poulenc to Schumann to Strauss. Catch these rising stars before they make it big!
