THIRTY-SIX VIEWS OF THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE - conversation with author
About
Thirty-Six Views of the Golden Gate Bridge is a series of photographs inspired by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, who, between 1830 and 1832, created Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, a series of woodblock prints that show the sacred mountain from various locations, in different seasons, and in all kinds of weather. Nearly two hundred years later, photographer and author Arthur Drooker endeavored to do the same with San Francisco’s defining landmark. On January 29th, Drooker will be in conversation with Susan Schneider Williams at The Image Flow, San Anselmo.
Exhibition runs through March 1st
