Toca Aê Festival is a community-centered Afro-Brazilian percussion and cultural arts event presented by Tambores e Samba in the San Francisco Bay Area. The festival brings together percussion groups, dancers, DJs, and community members to celebrate the vibrant traditions of Samba Reggae and Afro-diasporic culture through live music, movement, and collective energy.
Created as both a cultural gathering and community fundraiser
Tambores e Samba is an Afro-Brazilian percussion ensemble and cultural arts organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded by Salvador, Bahia native Abel Damasceno, the group is dedicated to sharing the energy, history, and community spirit of Samba Reggae through live performance, education, and cultural exchange.
