Young People's Symphony Orchestra 87th Pops/Pre-Japan Tour Concert
About
This concert is the last subscription concert of the YPSO's successful 23-24 season and the pre-Japan tour concert. The program will include works the orchestra will bring on the tour, such as Gershwin's "An American in Paris," Stravinsky's ballet suite "The Firebird" (1945 version), Tchaikovsky's 4th Symphony, as well as popular favorites such as Strauss Jr.'s "Explosion Polka" and more.

Founded in 1936 in Berkeley, CA, Young People’s Symphony Orchestra (YPSO) is the oldest youth orchestra in California, and the oldest independent youth orchestra in the nation. For nearly 85 years YPSO has developed the musical talents and skills of students in the San Francisco Bay Area. Today, many YPSO alumni are internationally distinguished musicians and prominent community members.
