YPSO welcomes all of you to our 87th Season Winter Concert. The exciting program includes Supermaximum by Kenji Bunch, Violin Concerto No. 3 in B Minor Op. 61, Mvt. 1 by Camille Saint-Saëns featuring Henry Stroud, YPSO 23-24 Concerto Competition winner, and Francis Poulenc's Gloria collaborating with Berkeley Community Chorus and Orchestra (BCCO). Founded in 1936 in Berkeley, CA, Young People’s Symphony Orchestra (YPSO) is the oldest youth orchestra in California, and the oldest independent youth orchestra in the nation. For nearly 85 years YPSO has developed the musical talents and skills of students in the San Francisco Bay Area. Today, many YPSO alumni are internationally distinguished musicians and prominent community members.
