Young People’s Symphony Orchestra presents the America 250 Festival: Celebration of American Music, a special Spring Concert marking the 250th anniversary of the United States. This expanded program features chamber ensembles and full orchestra, presenting an all-American program spanning over a century, with music by Copland, Bernstein, Barber, Adams, Montgomery, Bunch and more.

Founded in 1936 in Berkeley, CA, Young People’s Symphony Orchestra (YPSO) is the oldest youth orchestra in California, and the oldest independent youth orchestra in the nation. For nearly 85 years YPSO has developed the musical talents and skills of students in the San Francisco Bay Area. Today, many YPSO alumni are internationally distinguished musicians and prominent community members.
