YPSO 87th Season Spring Concert
About
YPSO's 87th Spring Concert program will include two iconic pieces: Gershwin's "An American in Paris" and Stravinsky's ballet suite "The Firebird" (1945 version). it will also feature selected chamber music pieces performed by the YPSO Chamber Groups. Founded in 1936 in Berkeley, CA, Young People’s Symphony Orchestra (YPSO) is the oldest youth orchestra in California, and the oldest independent youth orchestra in the nation. For nearly 85 years YPSO has developed the musical talents and skills of students in the San Francisco Bay Area. Today, many YPSO alumni are internationally distinguished musicians and prominent community members.
